Bookmark and Share

The big question at the Minnesota Boys' State Hockey Tournament is: can anyone beat top-seeded Minnetonka?

The team has four players who will be playing college hockey in the WCHA next year.

The team faced Lakeville North Thursday.

Max Gardiner opened the scoring in the first period. He's a Mr. Hockey finalist and a Gopher recruit.

The game ended with Minnetonka on top, 6-1.

Also Thursday, Edina beat Roseau 7-3 and Apple Valley upset third-seeded Blaine 2-0.

In the last game of the night, Hill-Murray beat Duluth East 5-3.

You can see all the tournament play on Channel 45, cable channel 12.
