A Maplewood toddler was hit and killed by a car while playing in a driveway Sunday.
Police were called to a house on the 2500-block of Nemitz Avenue just after 12 p.m.
Investigators say 21-month old Josiah Roeske Carlson was playing with his 8 year-old brother when he was hit by a vehicle driven by his 40-year old father, David Carlson.
Carlson was moving a trailer with an SUV.
Paramedics transported Josiah Carlson to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where he was pronounced dead.
Police and the State Patrol are investigating, but they believe the death was accidental.
