From Disneyland to Hollywood's Adventureland

Adventureland was inspired by director Greg Mottola's own life -- the summer he spent working at an amusement park. It may not seem like the most-glamorous of beginnings, but he's not alone. We found five well-known Hollywood names that got their start at that little chain of amusement parks, Disney. So scan those old vacation photos carefully...

	Kevin Costner Yes, Oscar-winner Kevin Costner claims Disneyland Cast Member on his resume. He spent a summer on the lonely rivers of the Jungle Cruise. Could this have been his inspiration for Waterworld?
	Michelle Pfeiffer The glamorous singer from The Fabulous Baker Boys actually paid her dues as a performer in the Main Street Electrical Parade. It's nice to know she was able to put those more, say, theatrical skills to use in Hairspray and Grease 2.
	John Lasseter The High Priest of Computer Animation has long credited his time on the Jungle Cruise with not only bringing him out of his shell, but also with fine-tuning the comedic timing he and the rest of the Pixar gang put into their movies.
	Wayne Brady The actor, singer, dancer, and Whose Line Is It Anyway? star once roamed the streets of Walt Disney World in Florida. He put his boundless energy to good use as a costumed character.
	Steve Martin Perhaps the most famous Disneyland alumnus, Martin reminisces fondly about his days working for the Mouse in his autobiography, Born Standing Up. From selling guide maps to working in Merlin's Magic Shop, many of his performing skills and stand-up gags were honed at the Happiest Place on Earth. But Martin is no One-Park-Wonder. He also spent time as a performer at Knott's Berry Farm before pursuing his comedy career.
