Crossroads - Sundays at 7:30am

Bookmark and Share

Crossroads, a weekly, 30-minute show that focuses on the Twin Cities' minority community, will highlight the many cultural happenings in our area and can be seen every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on Channel 45 (that's Cable Channel 12).

“There are so many people out there with fantastic stories to tell-- women and people of color who are doing extraordinary things. This show will shine the spotlight on them, as well as the many organizations they represent," says Crossroads host Sheletta Brundidge, who is also a producer for The Kevyn Burger Show on FM 107.1.

Brundidge is a unique woman who lends her many talents to the program. A wife, mother, author, and stand-up comedienne, she is keenly aware of the issues affecting the minority community in today's society.

"I just felt like there was a need to expand on the community affairs programming already in place," Brundidge said. "The Twin Cities are a unique melting pot of many different cultures and we wanted to do something to bring attention to all of those wonderful traditions; a different perspective, if you will."

In addition to showcasing interesting individuals and groups, Crossroads hopes to be a catalyst for change. Through dialogue, the show will shine a light on the positive aspects of the minority community, as well as offer solutions to problems relating to crime, education and economics that affect everyone.

But don’t expect the show to be stuffy and serious, as a comedian, Brundidge plans to lend her southern brand of humor to make the show worth watching, “There are so many community affairs programs out there that are stuffy and uptight.  But we plan to laugh a lot with our guests and have fun. We’ll do a little dancing, some cooking and break a sweat with some exercise—but not too much because that’s against my religion.”
