Wood: It Seems Like Just Yesterday.
I know it's been two weeks since my daughter Hathaway started kindergarten, but it's taken me this long to be able to write about it without crying.

WOOD: Remembering the Unforgettable
Every one remembers where they were the moment the planes hit the towers on September 11, 2001.  The way we felt when we watched the images of terrorism and heroism play out on tv and the horror we felt for the friends and families asking for help in finding their loved ones who were missing.  I remember the moment too and the days that followed.

WOOD: Hospital Chairs Do Not Make Good Beds!
I’ve got a knot in my neck that is wound up so tight I can hardly turn my head and it’s all thanks to the 3 days I’ve spent sleeping on a hospital room chair. I wish I could complain to my husband, but I can’t, since he’s got a bit bigger of a problem. He’s recovering from an emergency appendectomy.

WOOD: A Warm Welcome To 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Mornings
I was a little sad on June 12th, 2008 right around 4 pm.  I was in the last moments of my last day hosting Twin Cities Live.  In the year I worked on the show I had created a second family...

May 19, 2009 : The Importance Of Girlfriends!
I just recently had a girls’ weekend with two of my best friends and had an absolute blast.  That’s probably not surprising, but when I tell you that two days after I returned my mother told me that I sounded like a new person, that may at least make you raise an eyebrow.

April 23, 2009: A Year Of TCL
Wow, how time flies when you’re having fun.  It seems like just yesterday I was sitting on a chair besides John, introducing ourselves to you, our viewers, and telling everyone that I was so nervous that I could “throw up”.

Monday, April 13, 2009: Cinderella Or The Wicked Queen?
My four year old daughter Hathaway had a doctor’s appointment, so I brought both of my girls with to make sure one didn’t feel left out.  We called it our “girl’s date”.  I made them breakfast, brought them to the doctor with my arms filled with their favorite books and snacks to make sure they were well entertained and promised them a milkshake if they were good.

March 19, 2009 Trying My Hand At Radio
Many years ago, I attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis.  It was there that I decided to head in the direction of television instead of radio.

March 11, 2009 Go Dmitry!

You may not know this, but I learned last week that one of the professional dancers on Dancing With The Stars is a Minnetonka High graduate.  Dmitry Chaplin enrolled in the high school after his family moved here from Russia in the late 1990’s.

February 18, 2009 – The Guilt That Comes With Being A Mom
I was watching Desperate Housewives this past Sunday when the starting monologue talked about the guilt of a mom who works outside of the house.  I was so relieved to hear that.
