After the 4th driest September on record we are now seeing our wettest start to October ever. What a world of extremes! Get ready for more gray weather for at least 6 out of the next 7 days a series of storms head our. Oh, if this was just our pattern two months from now, we would be buried in snow!!

Nice to be back
So I go out of town last week to fine some sun for the family. I chose San Diego. While shivering in a cold drizzle at Sea World I clicked on to KSTP.com from my phone and see that its 73 here!!

What a month
This is what dreams are made of for fans of Winter weather. December 2008 will be remembered for a long time. First nationally its has snowed in places where is usually doesn't. It snowed in Houston and Galveston, TX, New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA as well as in Las Vegas. Portland Oregon has received almost 14 inches of snow, one of their snowiest Decembers on record. Here in Minnesota we have received at least a trace of snow on 20 of the first 23 days of the month with almost 17 inches for the month. Also our average temperature is running almost 8 degrees below normal. More snow is coming!!
