The halls of teaching hospital, Sacred Heart, are filled with nervous interns and annoyed residents. Among the medical staff is Dr. John "J.D." Dorian (Zach Braff), who routinely lives his frequent daydreams out loud, his affable roommate, surgeon, Dr. Turk (Donald Faison), Turk's love interest, Head Nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes), and J.D.'s crush, the lovable clutz, Dr. Elliot Reed (Sarah Chalke). Led by the hyperactive and acid-tongued Residency Director, Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley) and Chief of Medicine, Dr. Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins), the young doctors learn the ropes of day-to-day life in the hospital. Adding to the turmoil is Janitor (Neil Flynn), a persitent comedic menace in J.D.'s daily life. Filled with goofs, heart-warming messages, and just enough romance, Scrubs is a half hour of fun.
